An open-source Android app for language learning through spaced repetition. The app is already working and released, with product development happening in public.
I consider myself a researcher first, although I realize most of my ideas through code. I am currently studying neuroscience independently and hope to pursue a formal education in the field. Development is closely tied to research for me: it lets me turn questions from neuroscience and psychology into applications, tools, and working models.
Many of my apps begin with problems I run into myself. I have ADHD, so I regularly stumble over decisions designed around a neurotypical way of using software. If an existing tool creates unnecessary friction or the feature I need simply does not exist, I try to build my own solution — first for myself, and then for other people with similar needs. A tool does not have to be for everyone to be worthwhile.
I am most interested in qualia and subjective experience, the possibility of consciousness in artificial systems, mathematical models of neurobiological processes that can be implemented in code, and how the brain encodes and decodes information. I am also interested in statistics and AI/ML.
My projects usually begin as large ideas. As I build, I make them more concrete, test possible directions, and look for a realistic implementation. So far I have mostly worked independently, but I would like to gain experience in a team — especially with people who understand AI/ML, think independently, and can look at familiar problems from another angle.
If you are interested in my projects, would like to share feedback, or want to discuss working together, send me an email. I would be glad if you took a look at my projects.
